Coaching shaped by lived experience and professional practice
Hi, I am Amanda Maguire, and I'm Autistic, ADHD, and Dyslexic, and much of my own journey has involved unlearning expectations, navigating burnout, and gradually building ways of living and working that feel more honest and sustainable for myself in life and work in order to thrive, not just survive.
Alongside lived experience, I bring a professional background in coaching, counselling, and teaching. My work sits at the meeting point of understanding, continuity, and care — supporting you to make sense of yourself and your environment, rather than trying to change who you are.
You might find this space helpful if:
You're Autistic or otherwise neurodivergent (diagnosed, self-identifying, or still exploring)
You feel tired of adapting yourself to environments that don't adapt back
You're navigating change in work, identity, relationships, or capacity
You feel burnt out, stuck, or unsure what sustainable looks like for you
You want somewhere to think out loud without being analysed or corrected
You're looking for support that respects autonomy and nervous system needs
You're supporting a neurodivergent adult and would value reflective space to think about boundaries, advocacy, communication, or sustainability.
You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. This is a space to reflect, unpick patterns, and navigate change.

What we might explore together
There isn't a fixed programme. Sessions are collaborative and shaped around what feels most relevant.
Life
Burnout and energy patterns
Boundaries and capacity
Identity and unmasking
Emotional processing and regulation
Building rhythms that feel sustainable
Self-trust and decision-making
Work & Career
Navigating workplace systems
Self-employment or career transitions
Communication and advocacy
Aligning work with values
Reducing cycles of overextension
Leadership in ways that feel authentic
We move at a pace that works for you. Goals can be fluid, and adjustments are normal.
What to Expect
Sessions are 60 minutes.
After each session, I provide a structured written summary. This includes:
What we explored
Any themes or goals that emerged
Reflections from the session
Agreed on next steps, where relevant
The summary is collaborative and person-centred-led. It offers something steady to come back to — particularly if processing continues after the session has ended.
Sessions are held online. Frequency is flexible and shaped around capacity. Access needs and adjustments are always part of the conversation.
If you're unsure about coaching
It's completely okay not to know exactly what you need yet.
Some people arrive with clear questions, others just know something feels unsustainable, and both are welcome.
We can begin wherever you are.
Coaching for Parents and Carers
I also work with parents and carers of Autistic/neurodivergent adults who would value space to reflect on their own experience.
Sometimes this begins after I have worked with an adult family member. Sometimes it stands alone.
This work can include:
Navigating changing roles as your adult child grows
Boundaries and sustainability
Processing your own journey of understanding neurodivergence
Thinking about advocacy, communication, and long-term support
This space centres you — not just the person you support.
If you're considering working together, more details are below.
